Roof glazing options

The roof materials used in our conservatory systems vary depending on your needs and budget:

  • Polycarbonate roof: A lightweight, cost-effective option with high light transmission. UV-resistant.

  • Plexiglass: Offers a clear appearance, is impact-resistant and an aesthetic choice.

  • Insulated glass: Provides thermal and sound insulation and is the most comfortable option for year-round use.

Water drainage system

Our glass roof systems are equipped with an integrated drainage system that effectively diverts rainwater from the building structure. Special channels, discreetly integrated into the roof profiles, direct the rainwater directly into the vertical support posts.

The internal pipes in these posts guide the water down to the ground in a controlled manner. This prevents puddles, and the structure and surrounding areas remain protected from moisture. High-quality seals and gaskets ensure maximum waterproofing and longevity.

This system offers a maintenance-free, reliable solution with a high level of comfort, especially for conservatories that can be used all year round.

Energy efficiency (U-values)
The glazing used in SkyVera systems is selected for low thermal conductivity. The U-value of insulated double glazing can be as low as 1.1 W/m²K. This property minimizes heat loss in the interior, contributing to energy savings and year-round comfort.

Fire resistance class
All of the aluminum profiles, glazing, and connecting elements we use comply with European fire protection regulations. The system components are classified as flame-retardant (B1) according to DIN 4102, making them safe for use in both residential and commercial projects.

Optional insulation options
Upon request, we offer profile systems with thermal break. These feature special insulating barriers between the inner and outer profile surfaces that significantly reduce heat transfer. This feature is ideal, especially in cold climates, for maintaining a constant room temperature.

Certifications and quality standards
SkyVera products bear the CE mark of the European Union, and our production processes are subject to the ISO 9001 quality management system. Additionally, our products are tested by independent testing institutes and awarded prestigious certifications such as TÜV. These certifications demonstrate compliance with the highest standards in quality, safety, and environmental compatibility.

Technical properties and material resistance

Aluminum profiles:

The supporting profiles of SkyVera conservatory systems are made of high-density 6063-T5 aluminum and feature an electrostatic powder coating. This special alloy offers high load-bearing capacity and excellent corrosion resistance despite its low weight. The material is ideal for outdoor use and is characterized by its long service life, resistant to UV radiation, moisture, and extreme temperature fluctuations. The surface coating retains its original appearance for years without maintenance.

Glazing options:

The glass elements used in the roofs are selected on a project-specific basis. Options such as insulated double glazing, tempered single glazing, or Plexiglas offer a balanced combination of thermal and sound insulation, impact resistance, and light transmission. Glass thickness is determined according to local climatic conditions and structural requirements.

Resistance to wind and snow loads:

All system components are designed according to EN 1090 and Eurocode standards. The structure is reinforced through static calculations and offers maximum resistance to wind loads. If necessary, additional support profiles can be integrated to support snow loads.
